Christine Elizabeth Burch

HIGH POINT – Mrs. Christine E. Burch, 76, resident of 1067 Saint Michael’s Lane, went home to be with her Lord, Monday, September 22, 2008, at High Point Regional Hospital. She was born on December 20, 1931, in Craigville, Indiana, a daughter to Fenton and Mathilda Felber Sprunger. On August 23, 1953, she married Dr. Larry Burch. Christine moved here from Tecumseh, Michigan in 1976. She was a member of First Wesleyan Church at Providence Place, she was a member of the Toolshed Class and for many years taught Sunday School, sang and was a Choir Director, she was also active in the CWC and the BSF. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Virgil Sprunger in 2000.

Christine is survived by her loving and devoted husband of fifty-five years, Dr. Larry Burch who survives of the home; children, Audrey Reich and husband James of Lexington, Steven C. Burch and his partner Stephen Drayton of Collingswood, NJ, and Todd Burch and wife Robin of Wallburg; sister, Rosanna Wanner of Geneva, IN; brothers, Donald Sprunger of Berne IN, and Joseph Sprunger of Ft. Wayne, IN; grandchildren, Andria Reich, Joshua Reich, Jordan Reich, Jessica Burch, Garrett Burch; and great-grandchildren, Taylor Reich and Madison Reich.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 25, 2008 at First Wesleyan Church at Providence Place with Dr. Roland Cavanaugh and Dr. David Keith officiating. A private family graveside will be conducted at a later time. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2008, at Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to First Wesleyan Church at Providence Place, 1701 Westchester Dr., High Point, NC 27262.
